Tampa Police officials say they are on the scene of an accident where a car became submerged in the water -- and at least one person may be trapped inside.

The accident occurred Tuesday morning. The driver was trapped briefly, but was not injured.

The accident happened about 1:30 a.m. Friday when a Chevy Cobalt crashed into a Saturn sedan making a left turn. Officials say two people in the sedan died.
