A St. Petersburg police officer who was getting out of his squad car to investigate a serious accident was rear-ended by a drunk driver who then fled the scene early Monday, according to a statement.
The Associated Press A 32-year-old central Florida woman has been jailed for making threats on a social networking Web site. Sylvia Jennifer Hernandez faces charges of cyber stalking and violation of an injunction. She was arrested Sunday and is being held in the Brevard County Detention Center on $1,500 bond.
